Epiroc underground mining trucks are available with payload capacities ranging from 22 to 66 tonnes, covering a wide spectrum of haulage needs, from smaller operations to large‑scale, high‑productivity mining environments.

Epiroc mining trucks are available with a range of power alternatives to meet different operational and sustainability needs:

• Diesel-powered versions - all truck models can be equipped with efficient, high‑performance diesel engines.
• Battery-electric options - the Minetruck MT42 SG (42‑tonne capacity) is available in a fully battery‑powered version for zero tailpipe emissions and low noise levels underground mining operations.
• Battery‑trolley system - the Minetruck MT42 SG Trolley (42‑tonne capacity) can also be configured with a battery‑trolley setup, enabling operation via an overhead power line for continuous energy regeneration and hauling alongside the zero tailpipe emissions benefit.

Additional battery and battery‑trolley options for other truck sizes are planned for future release, expanding Epiroc’s electric haulage offering.

Daily service and inspection points are designed for maximum convenience and safety. All routine checks can be performed from ground level, even on the largest truck models. In addition, automatic lubrication systems and fluid‑tank level sensors help reduce the amount of daily maintenance required, keeping downtime low and productivity high.

Epiroc mining trucks are engineered to balance compact design with excellent serviceability. While the machines are built to maximize load capacity within small dimensions, ease of repair remains a key focus:

• Service‑friendly design - heavier hoods are equipped with gas struts, reducing the force required to lift them and improving safety during maintenance.
• Built for efficient component handling - due to the size and weight of major components, lifting equipment is typically required during replacement. All heavy components are fitted with integrated lifting points to ensure safe, efficient handling.

Safety regulations vary significantly between regions, and many mines also apply their own site‑specific safety requirements. Because of this, it’s not possible to build one single truck configuration that meets every global standard. Instead, Epiroc offers multiple truck variants designed to comply with the relevant regulations in each market.

The most common regional requirement is CE certification, which covers a broad range of safety standards. Meeting CE requirements also satisfies many national regulations, although additional features or adaptations are often needed depending on the mine or country.
