Product description

The SmartROC D65 is built to face the toughest of conditions. The rig is loaded with intelligent features that will improve your operations, increase safety and boost productivity. The SmartROC D65 is highly automated and drill holes on its own. It adds and then extracts rods automatically when the desired depth is reached. All SmartROC rigs are highly consistent and less dependent on the operator. Consumables wear out at a slower rate thanks to the auto rod handling system and overall stress on the entire machine is reduced. The extra precision in drilling yields optimal blast results and increases safety. Epiroc's SmartROC rigs significantly raise quality in the whole operation. The SmartROC D65 is well-proven, tough and dependable. However, should a situation arise, the rig features an ingenious self-diagnostic system to help track down problems quickly and effectively to keep downtime to a minimum. SmartROC rigs are also designed to make life easier. The electrical system features a reduced number of cables for example – this minimizes problems and makes troubleshooting much quicker. The hydraulic system requires just 100 liters of hydraulic fluid and has been designed with a minimal number of hoses and connections - this makes it both easy to service and economical. With the BenchREMOTE option, one person can safely control up to three rigs simultaneously from up to 100 meters away which dramatically increases operator productivity and takes safety to a whole new level. In combination with the Hole Navigation System (HNS), the BenchREMOTE removes the need for operators and surveyors to work in hazardous areas. The Auto Feed Fold option means the rig puts the feed in tramming position automatically – a great help when running rigs remotely.
The SmartROC D65 is available with three different feed options - standard, long and XL. When fitted with the standard feed with 5 meter tubes, it's possible to drill toe-holes, de-watering holes and horizontal holes. The long feed with 6 meter tubes allows for in-pit grade control (RC option) and pre-split/buffer drilling. When fitted with the XL feed and 8 meter long drill tubes, the SmartROC spends less time threading and unthreading when drilling and retracting the drill string. The rig is able to drill more holes per shift.
